SEPTEMBER 21th : RING THE BELL AT 12.18
On Monday September 21th, people around the world will be asked to deliver a wake-up call to leaders with their cell phones, watches and alarm clocks.
All schools will be asked to ring the school bell at 12.18. This is an ideal time for young people from all around the world to help influence this global event. So on Monday, don't forget, «let's wake-up together!»

ReplyDeleteI believe that this conference is very important and that humans need a wake-up call so that everyone can start being aware of the seriousness of our situation. I truly hope this conference will have an effect on the way we think and the way we see our future.
ReplyDeleteI think this conference is really important for the humans, because in my opinion some people do not believe that this is also their issue. But everybody should know that the way it is now is even worst so what would be in a few years if we do not change anything? This conference has to make decisions about what and how we have to change!
ReplyDeleteWe have been told, seen with our own eyes and experienced global warming and its effects. And the truth of the matter is we are running out of time, it is time for developed and developing countries alike to work together to help our planet and the living things on it! With this coming conference, I hope that a plan will be created to help sustain our current lifestyle, without jeopardizing the already fragile global ecosystems. Global warming started with us, and we must fight to reduce it, to make this world a better place for generations to come. :)

I think this conference is really important to show the people all over the world that our politicians try to do something against the global warming. But I don't think that they will find any solution because there were several conferences in the past and till now, they didn't really change our life.

ReplyDeleteI believe that this conference is very important for the entire world because the global warming not only affects the industrialised countries but rather the developing world. So debates have to take place with nearly all world leaders to find acceptable solutions and agreements to fight and show the people changes are possible. But it isn`t as simple as it sounds because the industrialised countries, the emerging markets and also the developing countries have to find a common denominator but they are all on a different level of developing so the industrialised countries now have the responsibility to lead the entire world because they have the resources needed to achieve an improvement for the world`s vegetation and climate.
ReplyDeleteI think this conference was a need both to the world and its people. I believe the world deserves so much better that what we are giving it. Think of all it has given us and what we have given it in return. I wish everyone could realise that global warming was their priority as a human being eventhough it isn't all our fault, we have contributed so why not help the planet out a bit?
ReplyDeleteAs many of you mentioned, the purposes that lead this conference to be are very important. We don't seem to realize that our world is falling,, slowly but surely, apart. Every little thing we do to our earth has a huge impact. I wish every single one of us could realize the consequences global warming has on our world. I wish we could unite to fight, because global warming is, and has been present for too long now.
ReplyDeleteI think that the very fact that this conference is taking place and that people representing countries from all around the world are regrouping is a good sign that global warming has raised awareness and has triggered a fight in people. We always seem to be focusing on the negativities, and yes, we will always have things to improve to make our planet better. It's a known fact that not all of those that can make a change, WILL make change, so what we must do is follow the example of our leaders and those striving to make a difference in our communities.

ReplyDeleteAfter all the time experts and people have been trying to find a way to aware people of OUR issue, hopefully this conference will be the good one. I believe that it is very important for this conference to take place since we, as humans part of this disaster are affected but as well creating it. It involves people all over the world, and maybe someday, someone will realise what our acts reflect on.
ReplyDeleteI also believe that this conference is a really important event, and hopefully, it will be a changing event that will open some people's eyes. Because, even if some of us are trying to reduce Global Warming, there are still a lot of people who think that it isn't happening. And even though numerous conferences were held before, we haven't changed our lifestyles enough yet. I truly hope that this conference in Copenhagen will change some people's perspectives, and make them realize that if we want to keep our beautiful Earth long enough for the generations to come, we have to fight for it and start to reduce Global Warming, now!

ReplyDeleteI agree, and will say so myself, that judging on our current lifestyle, and the current state of THE planet, this conference is the most important thing in the world. literally. we could dig and find yet another negative twist to this conference stating that: we are completely ignorant and it takes this much (current global warming effects) to almost open our eyes to the struggles the planet is facing. not what we, humankind, are facing.

this conference is extremely important, that being an understatement.
All I've heard for the last couple of years was how we, as humans, are slowly but surely "killing" our planet. It's good to hear that international politicians and leaders are meeting together to discuss these events, but I have to face the facts. There have been previous conferences to discuss such subjects, but we still haven't seen a great effort at stopping this global phenomenon. Sure, this conference may be greater and have more leaders attending it, but we have to ask this question: Will they, in the end, bring themselves to sacrifice their financial benefit in order to aid in the fight against global warming. So far, we do not know the answer and only time will tell. Let's hope they make the right decisions...

ReplyDeleteI strongly believe that the conference is very important, because I think some people do not understand what is really happening in our world. With this conference people will have a better understanding of the issue. And as a society we could be able to make a big change and open eyes to citizen that do not understood yet theses issues.
